I'm not sure why, but my favorite thing to crochet has to be afghans, especially baby afghans. I am always excited at any opportunity to do so. Typically, I will study my pattern book for several days, trying to pick just the right design to match just the right colors. I always end up starting a pattern, then starting over again, usually 5 or 6 times, until I settle on a particular pattern. This time, however, I picked a pattern and stuck with it. It was a rush order, so looking back, there are several things I would change, but overall, I love it.
For some reason, I couldn't get the thought of adding on some sort of applique. I love all things turtle, so this little guy was just the icing on the cake.
